Sitting down.Aaahhhh!

Do you ever get so busy that you suddenly realize you have to pee REALLY BAD, and that you haven't even stopped to go ALL DAY? I totally have had those days almost everyday of the past week, but today I finally got to sit down. And use the restroom at the appropriate time might I add. My good friend Amy Moore bought a first impressions franchise, and flew down from Arizona last weekend to train. She has one of the most beutiful baby girls ever, and she is soooo good. It was really fun to spend time with Amy, and I'm excited that we are going to have a good reason to keep in better touch now. I think the training went really well.
So have you guys heard about the new nursary manual the church came out with? It is 30 short lessons, activities, and visual aids. It's awesome for family home evening if you have small children. I got it a couple of weeks ago, and Carter likes to look through it and have me tell him the stories that go with the pictures. I told him that it's our new FHE book, and he asked if he could pick our next lesson. We prepared his lesson together today, and he is really excited to give it tonight when Craig gets home. He is so cute. It's so saticefying to see him make good decisions, and enjoy things that I want him to enjoy. Motherhood is amazing.

Our House

So we have been wanting to get new windows and Siding for a while,(actually the entire three years we've lived here)and we finally did it this summer. There was much diliberation as to what coler we were going to go with, and this is what we finally agreed on. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but it looks almost like a differant house in person. We are pretty excited about it.

1st Day Of ScHoOl

Carter and Kaiden are going to preschool together this year. They were both so excited on our way there. Carter wanted to take one of his thomas the train books for his first show and tell, because he wanted his "new friends" (as he calls them) to know that he likes trains, and reading. what a little guy.

cute kids.

The other day Craig was playing outside with the kids, and when I went out to join them carter was pulling Layla in the wagon. It was the cutest thing ever. My neighbors were even standing in their windows watching, because it was so funny.
I started a movie for Carter, and went upstairs to get him a drink. Usually Layla will just follow me wherever I go, but she stayed down with Carter. When I came back with his drink Layla had climbed up into his chair, and they were snuggled in her blanked. so adorable
So everyone has been telling me forever to read the twilight series, but I thought it sounded to corny and sci-fi for me. well I finally gave in when my sweet neighbor went a bought it for me.....now I'm hooked. My poor family! No worries, there is enough room in my heart for my family and Edward. :)

I want to win

This weekend was my race. I have been really excited about it, because my sisters were all going to do it. Judy ended up hurting her knee, so she didn't get to run, but the rest of us did. Plus Craigs sister Tenae. So my goal had been to place in the top three, and run 9 min. miles, but that mourning when I woke up I decided I wanted to win. The first couple miles went by really fast, and I still felt great, so I sped up. I came around the corner and saw a banner down the road about .2 miles, so I started sprinting, and gave it all the energy I had left. However, when I got to the banner I realized everyone was still running, and there was another banner about a quarter mile farther down the road. CRAP. by now I had used every ounce of energy I had, but I had to keep going. at this point the street was lined with crowds of people, and they all looked like they were yelling and cheering, but strangely I couldn't hear them. (It wasn't until about ten minutes later that I realized I had my ipod on. hello.) everyone looked kind of blurry, at this point, and I couldn't feel my legs anymore, but somehow I managed to keep running. I crossed the finish line gasping for air, and trying not to pass out right there. I bumped into other sweaty people as I clumsily found the closest patch of shade, and plopped down on my back. I didn't move for several minutes until I heard some teenagers near me say "Is that girl OK, she hasn't moved for a really long time", so I sat up before they tried to revive me. I saw my sister annabeth, and friend crystal, so we all went over to check our times together. I punched my bib number into the computer, and couldn't understand why it said 1:38 and 9:87 so I called a friend over and had him look. He said "that means you took 1st out of your category, and 9th over all".I could not believe it. so I ended up taking 1st like I wanted, and ran 8.5 min miles. Pretty cool. I'll post some pictures at soon as Jo sends them. Isn't it so satisfying to actually accomplish your crazy big dreams? It did feel really good, and I still can't believe it really happened.

day at the ZOO

This was pretty much the only day Craig got to spend with me and the kids this summer, so we had a really good time. The kids smother Craig every chance they get, but I think he likes it. I know I do.
