KY, and the KY Durby

I went to Louisville for 8 days with my bro Matt, and my kids. We visited my other brother Paul and his family. He was graduating from dental school, and we wanted to see the Durby, so the timeing was perfect. My sister in law, Jenny, drove from Atlanta to see us. Sadly, I didn't have my camara that day, I'm so mad I didn't get any pictures with them. However, we did have a wonderful trip, and I'm so glad I got to make it.

Paul and Janelles house. It is for sale if anyone wants a super cute 4 bedroom house in Louisville.

A Bunch

I have a whole heck of a bunch of pictures, so enjoy! About 10 minutes after we got to Paul and Janelles house we saw this clown across the street, so Carter and I had to run over and say hello to him.

Layla got this hat to wear with her Easter dress, and she has worn it almost every day since. She even wore it with her pj's on the air plane, and through the air port. We got LOTS of nice comments from strangers. So cute!

pictures please

Hey Family, if you have any cute Easter pictures of my kids will you send them to me? My camera is having issues, so we hardly got any pictures, and none of Layla in her super cute little Easter dress. Thanks in advance.
I am soooo excited for next week. My brother Matt, my kids, and myself, will be flying to KY for 9 days. I am so excited to go see Paul (my other brother) and his great family. We will be there for Derby week, so let me know if you want me to place any bets for ya at the big race. giddy up horsey.
This has been a fun, busy, crazy week. Yesterday I was on the mourning show on channel six at six a.m. I'm very much not used to getting up at 4:30 a.m. but it was fun in spite of the insane hour of the day. I even got a couple of appointments out of it, all 3 people that were up. haha.
I am doing a Mothers day fundraiser with a preschool in town, so I've had lots to do to get ready for that. I am really looking forward to seeing how the response is for it. It's a little different marketing strategy then I have used in the past, so wish me luck.
This weekend I will be at the grand opening of a super cute new children's boutique called "paisley punch", so come say hello. It's sat. 10-5 in the Golds gym complex. A radio station will be there, and a bunch of other things will be going on. Of coarse, you will have to come have your hand casts done and get in on the discount. Come on, you know you want to.
Sunday Carter is giving a talk in church, and I think he will actually give it this time. The last time he got a little case of stage fright, so I ended up giving it for him. For some reason, it just wasn't as cute when I said it. Darn, what do ya do. So at church last week his teacher asked him what he wanted to do, and he picked a talk. He actually tried to go up and give one that day. He is so funny. I never ever know what is going to come out of his mouth. Too cute.
Anyway, things are just rolling along, and keeping me running to keep up. Matt and I will be leaving here at 1:00 AM on Monday to get to the airport by 4:00 AM. Caffeine anyone?

Freeze Dance

The other night I told the kids we would play freeze dance if they ate all their dinner. I got a few funny pictures of their freeze poses. It's so funny to watch them, because they get so into it.
Side note. The yellow "skirt" Layla is wearing, um yeah, that used to be the sleeve on one of my ballet costumes. Every time I turn around she has taken off her diaper, and is trying to put it on. She loves the dang thing. Go figure. At least she has some great poses in it right?

Cleaning tip #1

(the following is taken from organizationforlife.blogspot.com)

How to: Clean white appliances with Baking Soda

For a long time I struggled to find something that would clean the water and ice station on my fridge. I felt funny using a harsh chemical where I got the water to make my baby's formula. So I searched and searched ... and then my mom visited. She was determined to help me win this battle and so she dumped some Baking Soda and scrubbed with a cloth ... and, lo and behold, it was miraculously clean and white just like it should be.

After the success with my fridge, I started to use baking soda on lots of my white appliances and I have continued to be pleased with the results. I am also happy to find Baking Soda in bulk at Wal-Mart for an awesome price.

How to use Baking Soda:
1) Wet cloth and wipe surface you are cleaning.
2) Sprinkle baking soda on dirty surface.
3) Wipe with wet cloth until clean.

new bed

So, we moved Layla into a bed a couple of days ago. Crazy! Not only that, but we also moved her into Carters room. He had been getting scarred at night, in the dark, upstairs, all alone. Armed only with his flash light, and superman pajamas, he felt the need to slip into our room, night after scary night. That was a problem for us, in our own grown up kind of way.... you know what I mean. So that is the insanity that lead us to the current circumstances. The good part for Carter is that he has not been frightened at night, and for Layla it is that she can get out of bed all by herself....over....and over....and over again!
Last night we put the kids to bed, and waited. To our surprise no one came back out. When we were headed to bed ourselves we poked our heads in to check on them, and this is what we saw. Layla had rolled out of bed, and was laying with her head under her bed. HAHAHAHA. We just thought that was hilarious, and had to share the picture.
No matter how many times I have to put my kids back in their beds, I sure do love them. just when I think I'm ready to give them to the highest bidder they do something so funny, or sweet, or both.

Swimming

Carter is learning how to swim, and he really really loves it.
TThis is just another wedding picture, and I thought it was really good of everyone. These are Craigs brothers and sisters, all but Becky.
