I know this is silly, but I'm just curious what you all think about the subject. Lets discuss leggings and church. Is it a yes for you, or notsomuch? Go.
Although I do think leggings are totally cute, I am a BIG no wearing them to church. Yes, they are made out of tights material, but I still consider them pants. And may I add, it's the worst when girls wear a dress that would normally be too short to wear to church. But, since their leggings cover up what's beneath, it's considered kosher. Welp, there's my soapbox, Suz. Haha.
I know that because I'm older, I will be considered old fashioned, but I totally agree with the leggings at church being a bad idea. Right up there with flip flops. Way to casual for a worship meeting. I agree they are darling but there is a time and place for everything. Mom Hall
I being the fashion diva that I am have to totally agree with the choir. I think leggings at church are unappropriate and look too casual. I agree with mom about flip flops as well. I feel that out of respect for the Lord you should wear your very best. I also notice that the young women in my class are wearing dresses that are way too short but with leggings they think its okay.
I don't know- I don't think they are so bad if they are worn right. I've seen them worn very tastefully and appropriately. I do agree that if the dress is too short, leggings do not make it okay. My biggest pet peeve though is denim skirts, which I know are a pretty common thing. I guess I just don't see the difference really between that and jeans. I think denim skirts are way too casual. I especially think so when girls wear t-shirts with the skirts. It's the same thing they would wear to school, just with a changed seam.
I have seen a bunch a girls wearing them at church, and I don't really mind when it's with a modest dress. It does bother me though when they are worn with way short dresses, like legging are going to make it modest or something...no. I was at a wedding, yes...a TEMPLE wedding, and there was a lady wearing leggings with a shortish dress. I just felt like it was sooo disrespectful, and unappropriate. It made me wonder if I was the only one that felt that way or not. Leggings are super cute otherwise.
I would have to say wear whatever you want. And everyone who has a prob with it should redirect their focus to what they should be doing, which is not judging what other people are wearing. If you don't think it's appropriate then don't wear it. But let's not worry what Sister Johnson's daughter is wearing. Who cares??? Just be glad they are there. :)
Wow, interesting post. I agree, I don't think they're appropriate. I don't mind AS much on teenagers, what really gets me is when they're used to cover up g's.

I agree with the lovely lady above. LOVE leggings and think they are cute, but not church attire.

I guess I'm a naughty one. I probably would've worn them to church. Guess I won't now.

I think if worn correctly - that it is okay if they are BABIES! But I agree with everyone else - no, no, when to church you go!
