solve my riddle

I over heard Carter and Layla playing in their room today. Layla wanted to get on Carters bed, and I heard him say "you can not get on my bed until you solve my riddle. I'm looking for something warm, but can you find something cold?"....waiting...waiting..."okay Layla, the answere is a coat!" haha, he is so hilarious. I know where he was trying to go with the "riddle", but I don't think he quite arrived.
