April Fools?

One thing I've learned in my life is that God had a sense of Humor...and so should I. We woke up on April 1st to find snow, and we thought that was a great April fools joke. The kids rolled up almost every single little tiny piece of snow in our yard to make this snow man, but seeing how it was officially spring we just couldn't dress him in the typical scarf and had. Our snow man quickly became a snow lady when I broke out the luau decor which seemed more appropriate to me. At least we gave the passer buys something to smile about on that cold April fools day:)

snow fort

We had this big snow storm the other day that left us with the perfect kind of snow for making a fort, and the best part...Craig was home to make it. Yay. Craig and the kids worked outside while Benson and I made them cookies and hot chocolate, good trade don't you think? They ended up with two, that's right 2 snow castles. After they built the castles the kids "decorated" them with pine cones and pop cans...so classy, right? Is Craig the best Dad in the world or what? I say yes, he wins the prize.

snow day

Is there anything cuter than little kids all bundled up to play in the snow? I think not! Craig and the chickies played, and played, and played...until after it was dark. I had to loore them in with hot cocoa. They built a sweet little fort that Layla love likes to call her "castle".
I do love the snow, but I'm SO very excited to get away to California this weekend with my Mom and Sister. It's a very last minute trip, but I think it will be just we we've all been needing.

p.s. My Mama can use all the prayers she can get right now. We don't know what is wronge yet, but we do know it isn't good.

Loves, Susan
