1.....2.....,

Craig and I have found the infamose big "1,2,3" to be very effective with Carter, our 3 1/2 year old. The ever looming thret is that he will get his hair pulled if we ever get to three, so he never lets us get past 1,2. Today I asked him to put his shoes on, and asked him again a moment later, still no result. I resorted to counting, almost subconciously. Like always, he jumped up on 2 and started putting his shoes on. A moment later I hear to the tune of "once there was a snowman", "Almost got my hair pulled, hair pulled, hair pulled. Almost got my hair pulled, pulled right up".

27

"I've had a birthday shout hooray!" . Am I the only one who wonders how I got to be so old? I mean, I know 27 is not at all old, but it seems to old for me. Does that make sense? It feels like Craig and I just got married a little while ago, and it's now six years and two kids later. I just feel so blessed that Craig supports me in my decision to be a stay at home mama, because I would hate to be missing this time with Carter and Layla. I goes way to fast.
For my birthday Craig and I went down to SLC, and spent the night. It was a really fast trip, but it was great to be together. It seems like when we get away from home for a day, we magically go back in time, to the days we had no worries. It's so nice to revisit the foundation of our marriage, and remember how much we love each other. sorry, I got a little sappy there. hopefully Craig doesn't read this one. He hates it when I talk personal on here.
Basically, what I mean is, I'm getting old, and life is still good!

Sitting down.Aaahhhh!

Do you ever get so busy that you suddenly realize you have to pee REALLY BAD, and that you haven't even stopped to go ALL DAY? I totally have had those days almost everyday of the past week, but today I finally got to sit down. And use the restroom at the appropriate time might I add. My good friend Amy Moore bought a first impressions franchise, and flew down from Arizona last weekend to train. She has one of the most beutiful baby girls ever, and she is soooo good. It was really fun to spend time with Amy, and I'm excited that we are going to have a good reason to keep in better touch now. I think the training went really well.
So have you guys heard about the new nursary manual the church came out with? It is 30 short lessons, activities, and visual aids. It's awesome for family home evening if you have small children. I got it a couple of weeks ago, and Carter likes to look through it and have me tell him the stories that go with the pictures. I told him that it's our new FHE book, and he asked if he could pick our next lesson. We prepared his lesson together today, and he is really excited to give it tonight when Craig gets home. He is so cute. It's so saticefying to see him make good decisions, and enjoy things that I want him to enjoy. Motherhood is amazing.

Our House

So we have been wanting to get new windows and Siding for a while,(actually the entire three years we've lived here)and we finally did it this summer. There was much diliberation as to what coler we were going to go with, and this is what we finally agreed on. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but it looks almost like a differant house in person. We are pretty excited about it.

1st Day Of ScHoOl

Carter and Kaiden are going to preschool together this year. They were both so excited on our way there. Carter wanted to take one of his thomas the train books for his first show and tell, because he wanted his "new friends" (as he calls them) to know that he likes trains, and reading. what a little guy.

cute kids.

The other day Craig was playing outside with the kids, and when I went out to join them carter was pulling Layla in the wagon. It was the cutest thing ever. My neighbors were even standing in their windows watching, because it was so funny.
I started a movie for Carter, and went upstairs to get him a drink. Usually Layla will just follow me wherever I go, but she stayed down with Carter. When I came back with his drink Layla had climbed up into his chair, and they were snuggled in her blanked. so adorable
So everyone has been telling me forever to read the twilight series, but I thought it sounded to corny and sci-fi for me. well I finally gave in when my sweet neighbor went a bought it for me.....now I'm hooked. My poor family! No worries, there is enough room in my heart for my family and Edward. :)
