Love you baby

Who is that gorgeous hunk you may ask? That would be my husband! Yes, it's true that nearly every single picture I have of him looks something like this. He doesn't just "smile" for the camera. It is also true that he never, ever, ever finishes a drink. oh, no. Instead he leaves it 1/4 of the way full of liquid and ice, so it condensates and drips all over the nearest surface that he happened to leave it on. And that fetish with his chap stick that some of you may have heard about... also true.
But, did you know that he is also the best husband in the world? He sends me flowers for no reason at all...other then he loves me (he's usually not even in trouble before he does it). The other night, I came home from a baby shower, and he had made me a romantic crab legs dinner. He makes me bubble baths. He snuggles with Layla and Carter, and leaves a light on at night, so they won't be scared. He works 70+ hours a week so I can stay home with our children. I could go on...and on and on, but I think you get the picture (and I don't want you to puke).
I love you Craig. For always!

Where is your pottyness?

Carter and Layla in the tub this mourning.

Carter- "Mom, where is Laylas pottyness?"
Me- "She doesn't have one."
Carter- "Did she lose it?"
Me- "No...she just doesn't have one, because she is a girl."
Carter- "Oh....I guess she will see it again in heaven!"

Can you tell we have been talking about eternal families?

love is in the air

yeah, that's right. Pretty much...love is in the air around here. Let me further explain. I'm sure you've heard about the 12 days of Christmas right? Well, I'm doing the 12 days of Valentines for Craig, and it's been really fun so far. I'll share some pictures from a couple of the (not so private) days.

The first day the kids and I hung hearts all over the house. Many of them have notes like "we go together like salt and pepper" on the salt and pepper shakers. Or on the silverware drawer the heart says "wanna spoon?". There were some really super funny ones I came up with, but we had to take those ones down, because I did a baby shower at our house Saturday. Lets just say, I'm glad Carter and Layla can't read yet. Hahaha.

Another day me and Carter made these yummy cookie flowers for Craig. we had a bunch of fun doing them, and even got to eat the ones we "accidentally" broke.

Yesterday my friend Crystal and I sent our husbands on a scavenger hunt. This is Crystal and Dillon Steed, some of our good friends.

after the boys found the treasure (aka, me and Crystal) we had dinner, played pool, and went to "yes man".

Yehaw!

The treasure hunters

I'll let you know some of the other stuff we do, but I can't say just yet. Don't want to spoil the fun for Craig....you know, on the off chance that he reads our blog for the first time ever. haha

still going...

and going, and going. I'm kind of like the energizer bunny I guess. I got to go to Sun Valley for four days with my family, and it was a blast. Everyone in my immediate family was there, minus one sisters family, and one husband of mine (not that I have more then one). Anyway, I got to take my yearly ski trip, and we could not have had a better day. AMAZING! My brother Paul, and his family are here from Kentucky, and we always have good times together. Problem is, I have not taken one single picture of that fun we've been having. But, when I get some from my family I'll post a couple. Good Day.

Christmas fun

We had a whirlwind Christmas, but it was just so fun that I couldn't get stressed about it. We had a sledding/Christmas party with my Dads side of the family, and then we had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner party at Grandma Annas house. Can I just say, I love love love my Grandma. She is so AWESOME! It is really kind of funny in a way. She has outlived several of her dear friends, so now all of their husbands are calling my grandma for a good time. haha. Or just friendship, or something. All I know is she is so dang cute for a 89 year old woman, that I would call her too if I were an old man. haha. Anyway, here are some pictures from her party too.

Christmas giggles

I was trying to make the kids smile for Craig, so he could take a picture of them in their church clothes, but he recorded it instead. Now I guess the secret is out......I'm a big nerd! especially when I'm trying to make my kids smile for a picture. It's true, I hold nothing back. Not even my own dignity.

White Christmas

I LOVE haveing a white Christmas! For me it never really feels like Christmas without snow, so I guess that would make this year EXTRA Christmasy... or something. We have about 12 inches of snow, and I love, love, love it. I was driving tonight with my kids in the car, playing/singing Christmas songs, looking at lights, and thinking about tomorrow, and I think I may have experienced my first little Christmas high. If Christmas was a drug tonight, I must have been smokin it, because I am all sorts of giddy and excited. I'll post Santa pictures in the near future.
Merry Christmas everyone.
