We had a really fun Easter party, the kids loved the Easter egg hunt. I guess we have been really good because the Easter bunny came to see us, and left the kids Easter baskets. Craigs sister Jenny and her two boys, Jaxon and Lucas, came to visit for 2 1/2 weeks. Jaxon is Carters best little friend, so they had a BLAST together. We went on a picnic, and a party, played lots of games, and the moms got some good girl time in together. I am going to be sad to see them go home tomorrow, but probably not as sad as Carter. Poor kid.
A couple of more really cute Easter pictures

Hi blog buddies. Things have been crazy busy in my neck of the woods, but honestly I don't think I would want it any other way. I guess I just have this need to feel like I'm being productive, or as Thomas the train would say "a really usefull engine".
Man has the Presidential election been exciting this year or what? However,I was absolutly heart broken and deflated when my man Mit dropped out, and now I just don't know what to do with my self. Sometimes I wish I had an angel on one sholder and a devil on the other telling me what to do, like on the cartoons. That would make everything so easy, because then I would know just to do what the angel said. In this case I fear that there would be a devil on both sholders, because I really don't care for any of the choices which remain. Oh well, what do ya do?
I was on nbc and fox news a couple of times this week, and that was kind of crazy. Good for business I must say. It's just wierd to hear people on the news saying your name and talking about you. Well have a great week. Susan

I'm a rock star

I realized the power of posative thinking, or the law of relativity last week. Craig and I were watching the news together, and I said to him "I should call them tomorrow to see if I could come on the morning show for some kind of Valentines day segment, or something like that." The next morning KPVI news channel 6 called me. doo dooo dooo dooo doo dooo doo dooo. They came over and we shot the piece a couple of days later. I am really excited to see how it comes out. It will be aired a couple of times, but the full story will air Feb. 17th at 5. 6. 9. and 10:00pm. Toon in for a good time. I went and hung out with my cousin Scott and his wife Kim on saterday, because they are moving to Hawii today, and most likely will not be back for a couple of years. Scott about has me talked into coming to visit them in a year (twist my arm A little harder). How fun would that be? we could stay at the military lodging and use their car for transportation, and we would have our very own tour guides. Can't beat that with a stick.Have you ever played rock band? I highly recommend it. Craig and I played with our friends Crystal and Dillon last weekend, and it was a blast. Even if all the songs were 80's rock, who cares, you get to sing into the mike, and bang on the drums. Very nice, thanks come again.

from the mouth of babes

Just a couple of funny things I've heard Carter say while he has been playing with his toys. His imagination has really taken off lately, and it's so fun to listen to him. yesterday he was in his room playing and I overheard him say to his trains "Come on guys, I'm not playing games now, okay". That one come directly from his Father. Today we were having quiet time, and he snuck out of his room and hid behind my chair that I was sitting in. I told him quiet time was not over, so he need to go back to his room for a little while. When he went back I heard this:
Carter "Mommy said quiet time not over"
Toy (in high pitched voice) "oh, okay"
Carter "So I have to stay in mine room"
Toy "okay. Are you dinky (stinky)?"
Carter "Yeah, I'm dinky"
I was getting a kick out of the conversation he was having, until I remembered he didn't have a diaper on. Opps.

I'm liberated

Well we didn't end up going to the temple today, but we are planning to go tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed. Good news though, Craig finished tiling the floor in our bathroom. Hooraaay. I'm so excited that I don't have to make the trek upstairs for my nightly midnight potty run. It looks really nice, he is one talented fellow. After we get the toilet and sink placed I will have to post a picture for you all to see, because I'm sure you are just dying to see our new toilet, right. For those of you who know me well I'm sure this will come as no surprise, but I decided today to cut my hair, and cut my hair I did. 15 inches to be exact. We braided it, and chopped it off, and mailed it to locks of love. I don't know what it is exactly, but something about cutting off that much hair is so liberating and exiting. I love it. I will have to post a picture of my new doo, and you can let me know what ya think. I will return and report after our journey to the temple tomorrow. Good day. Susan

Prayers

we have been saying night time prayers with Carter for a while now, but just recently he started adding his own thoughts to what we tell him to say. It is so funny. He will say "thankful for the Prophet, and Brocky, and Jaxey, and Kaiden", or sometimes he blesses his toys, cat food, or whatever. He is so fun to watch as he grows up.
Layla has started really getting around. She crawls very well now, and has a fascination with the toilets, and our plants. Any time I'm not paying attention to her she will go play with one of those things. She is a little smarty. I am so excited, because this weekend I discovered that her hair is finally long enough to do a pony tail on top. So cute.
Tomorrow we are planning on going through the Rexburg temple, so I'll let you know how that went next time.
